Hey Alex,

I just put in and order for two Evos, adding them to a family plan.  When I want through the checkout there wasn't ever a place to enter a code as mentioned in the deal.  I thought I had one more page to click through, but when I clicked "continue"  I got the order complete page.  So I never entered the SAVE50 code or my unique code.  I read that I can call Sprint somehow get them to add the SAVE50 code (they are closed for the weekend) but what do I do about my unique promo code?

Also, the instructions state "Send an e-mail to sprint@studentrate.com with your name, new Sprint number and your unique promo code you entered while making your EVO purchase"  but my order form says "phone number to be assigned" for both phones.

I hope I didn't mess this whole deal up.

Thanks for your help!
send the information with the phone number and they can locate you.  on the save50, ask the sprint rep on our end at the same email to help and he can send you instructions as to how to have the code applied by calling them.

no issues

Alex,

I pre-ordered an Epic and received it when it came out and my backordered Evo shipped about a month later. I had wanted them both to be on an Everything Data Family 1500, and you had said they should be switched automatically once the Evo order was fulfilled. Unfortunately, it didn't end up happening. I've PM'ed Phoneguy, but if you can fix this for me, I can PM you as well. Otherwise, I saw he hasn't been on the site in a week, so if you have a faster way of getting to him and asking him to check his PM, I'd appreciate you doing that.

Thanks!

couple questions here...

has it been comfirmed that the $50 SAVE50 code is $50 per line?

Are the $25 StudentRate rebate and the $20 HTC StudentRate per line?  so $90 for two lines?

Are there forms I need to fill out for the $25 and $20 rebates?  Or is it just emailing all my info to sprint@studentrate.com?

Thank you!

yes save 50 is per line and it is 45 per line so it is 90 and if you enter your srt promo code during the payment screen under company association code field you dont need to send us an email the rebates and the acr chargers will be processed automatically.

I am trying to place an order for a new line with the evo. How would I go about keeping the same number if I am switching from another carrier? Also how much do you pay at the time of checkout? It is saying $300 and I don't know if that is correct. Thanks!

Hi, you can keep the same number just call sprint after you receive your new phone and ask them to transfer the number.  the checkout should say 299 + tax -- the rebates of 100 and 45 and account credit will kick in later.

hope this helps.

I ordered my Evo this morning and already sent the email to studentrate with my name, number, confirmation number and promo code.  I just got an email from Sprint saying that they had to change my order number for whatever reason.  Do I need to send a new email to studentrate with this new number?  Thanks

Hi Alex,

So I was reading the forum for the HTC Evo deal on the studentrate.com site, and this is what I think happened. Instead of clicking on the link provided at the very top of the "click for link" pop up window, I just clicked on the code. Thus, I only received and still am receiving at 15% discount, and I am not about to get any other special discounts (ie waived activation fee). Is there anyway you can help me migrate my account over to the 23% recurring discount account. Thank you so much for your time. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Student Rate Member,
IamTan

p.s. My student rate account is iamtan. The post on the forum I was talking about is on this page (http://www.studentrate.com/StudentRate/forum/yaf_postst447p53_Sprint-HTC-EVO-StudentRate-Member-Discount.aspx), and it is located under my post (#1060). Also, I sent you an email.

HI,

You can change your discount percentage by clicking on any one of the links to get to the either private store and click on get discounts and follow the instructions.  You will be able to do it yourself.  Hope this helps.

However, you must qualify for the discount to be able to take advantage of it...read the deal details for info to determine if you qualify.

Thanks,

Alex,

I'm wanting to make this purchase tomorrow 11-18-10 but i have a few questions here they go:

How do I know phone is in stock and ready to ship?
How do I make sure i am getting free next day shipping? ( i would need it by friday 11-19)
What is the cutoff time for making sure the order ships same day?
How do I port my att numbers to my new sprint phones?
there's an option for white evo is this 100% confirmed white is available?
What verification info do i need while placing the order?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

I am experiencing a big problem...so as I stated before I took a look at my account and the 50 invoice credit is not showing...I called Sprint customer service and they told me" to go to the nearest sprint store and show them my receipt and they should take care of my invoice credit"...I did but the people from the sprint store said "that they do not give refund that customer service should know that and that I need to call customer service back". I call customer service back and they say that they don't know what I am talking about and they transferred to another department which was even more clueless....please help. Who do I need to speak to in order to receive my $50 invoice credit?
pls send your order number that starts with ai-gvcc with your order date and name mobile number to sprint@studentrate.com and he can help.  the credit should show up if you entered the save50 code during checkout on your first and second bill when the bill becomes final.

this could have happened for two reasons -- you may have forgotten to enter the code or there was an issue with your account and sprint called you to verify information and they rekeyed your order and forgot to enter the code.  if you were not charged the activation you probably forgot to enter the promo code.

but we can help.

Good Morning Alex,

I sent the email last saturday and I have yet to receive any response from Student rate?? Should I resent the email?

Hi,

I am currently on my mother's family plan. Long story short- I need to get my own plan, but would like to keep my number. I was told that I would need to port my number to a new account. My question is would I be able to quailfy for the HTC Evo deal? If so, how would I go about opening a new account and still keep my current number?

Thanks!
Christina
Yes you would if you open a new account.  just fill out the form at the beginiing of the forum and we will contact you for the payment information and process your order today.

Hi Kiks,

Alex is correct that you will need to establish a new account, but I wanted to make you aware of two things you will need to know.  1) You will need the the current account owner (your Mom) to release your phone # to you so you can set up your account with your current #.  You will need to call into Sprint Customer Care to do this. 2) you will not be eligible for the new activation promo (SAVE50) Free $50 invoice credit or the $25 Studentrate rebate because you are not activating a new line.  You are upgrading an existing line.  You may want to do the upgrade portion before you establish your new account as it will make things easier to do for you.

You will be eligible to receive Free Upgrade ($36 savings), Free overnight shipping and a Free Car charger.

Hope this helps.

PhoneGuy

Hi,

Sorry for such the late reply. -Just to make sure I do this right.

I should first upgrade my line under my mothers contract then open my own account with the same number. Would I still be eligible for all the savings? Would it be credited to my mothers account? Do I upgrade with studentrate.com first?

Thanks!
KIKS
