you will get the discount on the voice part that is or sure -- i got it on mine, but i have the mobile to mbile and unlimitd text where i am not getting any discount on it.

Okay, that's kind of what I figured. I can get a slightly better discount through my school, so I guess that's what I'll go with.

I signed a new contract with AT&T several months ago and would like to get the discount added. My main concern is if it will extend my existing contract? I'm on a 1 year (not 2 year) and don't want that messed with. Thanks!

if you already extended your contract it wont extend it. it will extend your contract only if you are out of contract.

if you already extended your contract it wont extend it. it will extend your contract only if you are out of contract.
Great thanks for the response! Also, does adding the discount give you access to AT&T Premier (like for an employer discount) so that when you login to your online AT&T account it has a different add/upgrade page and also if you call into customer care you get business care (IE better customer service)?

Hi, I sent the requested info in to att@studentrate.com on May 24th but don't show the Student Rate foundation account number when I login to my AT&T account. How long does it take to be applied? Thanks for your help!

FYI: DO NOT ASK TO HAVE THE DISCOUNT APPLIED UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR AT&T CONTRACT EXTENDED BY 2 YEARS!!!

That is if you are out of contract. if you already have a contract the application of the discount does NOT extend the contract.

Sorry alexthemann, but your information is incorrect. I had you guys add the discount to my account which ends December 2012, but it extended my contract by 2 years. I exchanged several emails with Samantha B w/StudentRate, and I emailed her my chat conversation with AT&T if you want proof. I contacted AT&T again and they removed my discount and the 2 year contract extension.
