What about the activation fee for new members to Sprint? Also, are the discounts going to appear on the first bill or are they going to be retroactive?

This might be a stretch but if we bring our number over from ATT will we get the "For a limited time only, bring your number from another carrier to Sprint and get $125 when you activate a smartphone!" stated on the front page?

@Catala13
That is a very good question that I hope Alex or Sprintguy can answer. I'm porting back over from Verizon.

I got information from sprint store that this offer is close on October 1st. So no more rebate/credit for bringing your old number from another carrier.

I PM'ed Alex, but no response. Hopefully there is one before 3am, or I'm preordering from Sprint and just sending Student Rate the info with hope I'll get something. I don't want to be displaced of a phone because of this...my current one is being shut off soon.

Can we pre-order today, the 7th, and still get the discount on our bill if we send in our order information? Is there a special stash of iphone 4s's for those of us that would preorder on the 8th?

That's exactly what I'm wondering. I'm freaked out about the idea of waiting a full 24hrs...

Yes!

There discount is definitely worth the wait though!

I did some calculation ...

AT&T ($47~ $121 / month)

----------

450 Minutes - $39.99 * (.8) = $32

900 Minutes - $59.99 * (.8) = $48

Unlimited - $69.99 * (.8) = $56

Data 200MB - $15

Data 2GB - $25

Data 4GB - $45

Unlimtied Text - $20

======================================

Verizon ($66 ~ $183)

----------

450 Minutes - $39.99 * (.9) = $36

900 Minutes - $59.99 * (.9) = $54

Unlimited - $69.99 * (.9) = $63

Data 2GB - $30

Data 5GB - $50

Data 10GB - $80

Data 4GB + Hotspot - $50

Data 7GB + Hotspot - $70

Data 12GB + Hotspot - $100

Text 250 - $5

Text 500 + Free M2M - $10

Unlimited Text - $20

======================================

Sprint ($64 ~ $87)

----------

450 Minutes + Unlimited Data + Unlimited Text - $69.99 * (.77) = $54

900 Minutes + Unlimited Data + Unlimited Text - $89.99 * (.77) = $69

Unlimited Everything - $99.99 * (.77) = $77

Premium Data for Smartphones - $10

======================================

Hahaha! Lookit you! Math whiz over here. So, in essence, my phone bill would be $64 instead of $80. I'll take it.

Well if we know that there will be a discount.  Then why can't we just click on that link that says "Click to purchase your device from the Sprint website. There is no promo code."  Or will this link not work with the 4s?  Sorry I'm totally new to this site and have never used it.  This is 100% legitimate too right?  And is it a pretty easy process to get the discount?

I have no idea. I've had a black 3G for the last 3 years. I'm thinking' it's time for something completely new...but sometimes the white looks cheesy!

I was thinking the same thing. We were told we'd get a link, but there isn't one. I'm starting to wonder if we shouldn't just do this. I've never used this site, but the reviews all show it to be legitimate if you're a real college student with a .edu address. The discount processing seems simple enough, we just have to email them directly and prove we purchased something. That's why I'm thinking any link will do...I'd just like confirmation...one more hour...
