What is Studentrate Cash Back?
Cash Back is money you earn in the form of an automatic rebate. It is separate from, and in addition, to any other discounts or ongoing sale from the merchant.

How do you earn Studentrate Cash Back?
Earn Studentrate Cash Back by making qualifying online purchases from participating stores.
Login to your Studentrate account
Select one of our Cash Back deal
Click on "click for code" and follow the link provided to open the site
Complete your purchase in the browser window that opened for you
That's it :)

Our cash back rebate can be combined with any valid coupon code or ongoing sale from the merchant. However, some merchants have excluded certain items from the cash back reward program. Please check these exclusions closely before you make your purchase because you will not earn cash back on excluded items.

What is required at checkout to earn Studentrate Cash Back?
Just login to your Studentrate account first and follow our link to make the purchase. There is no special promo code needed for Cash Back.

The key is shopping without getting distracted! Interrupting the shopping session by closing the window, performing searches on other sites or visiting other web pages should be avoided. make sure you complete the purchase soon after linking from Studentrate. Merchants have limits on how long they'll remember your visit from Studentrate.

If you need to interrupt your shopping session, go back to the Studentrate deal detail and follow our link again to re-open the merchant's website.
If want to make another purchase, you must first return to Studentrate and follow our link just like the first time. Completing each transaction ends your Cash Back session with Studentrate and you have to start over to qualify on additional purchases.

Don’t panic if you can’t see your Cash Back reflected at checkout. It’s a rebate, so you'll have to wait a little while.

How can I make sure my transactions have been recorded?
Go to My Account and click on the Cash Back tab. Here you will see your available cash back as well as your transaction history. The transaction usually shows up within a couple days but some merchants take up to 3 weeks to report to us.

How long do I have to wait to see the transactions and the Cash Back reflected in my Studentrate Account?
While most merchants report in just a few days, others may take up to 3 weeks from the shipping date. Nothing will show in your account until the merchant reports to us, so please do not worry or contact support until 3 weeks after your entire order has been shipped. If you still don't see anything, then please send us your complete order information and order confirmation email from the merchant at support@studentrate.com.

How long before the transaction goes from pending to available?
The transaction moves from pending to available depending on the policy of the merchant and usually ranges from 30 days to 90 days.

How do I actually get the cash?
Once the transaction moves from the pending  to available state you can request payment. If you would like to cash out under $20, you might be charged a small fee. We will  mail you a check or send your funds via paypal for your accumulated cash back. Please fill out your complete address in your profile and make sure your paypal email is also included.

What if I need to change or cancel my order?
If you contact the merchant to make changes or cancel your order it will void the cash back. If you return your purchase, your transaction will be reflected as negative in your transaction history. If you would like to earn cash back on another order (for example a different size), please return the first item to get a refund, and come back to Studentrate.com to place your new order.

I still have questions or need assistance...
Please email us at support@studentrate.com !

The deal is working and all cash back deals are working if you make your purchase using the links that are on our site.  The reflection of the cash back to your StudentRate.com account may take a day or two (while most partners would be within 24 hours) depending on the terms of the companies/partners that are listed on our site.  Some partners may take up to 72 hours before the information is sent to us.  Some partners wait till the merchandise is shipped.

But if you dont see the purchase on your StudentRate.com account within 7 days of your purchase please send an e-mail with the order details and we will investigate it and manually post it to your studentrate.com account.

Hope this helps.

I got the apple cash back show up on my account as it was mentioned on another thread.  It says pending -- when does this change for me to withdraw the money.

Same question as above. I have had two pending transactions for weeks. When do they become available for withdrawal?

it depends on the company you have the transactons from -- which deals did you use.

i think they are both 90 days which should coincide with their return policy and the payout policy. We usually payout after the return date is past to prevent fraud.

I emailed support@studentrate.com a week ago about a cash back that has been pending for over a month but received no response. Is there a phone number I can call?

yes it has to do with the vendors return and payout policy.  most cash back will become available for you to withdraw within 60 to 90 days.
