you can actually migrate your account to receive the discounts without upgrading or buying a new phone. just click on the link to open the studentrate att private store enter your zip code when asked and click on discounts option tab. fill out the information -- dont forget to enter your email as firstname.lastname@studentrate.com.
hope this helps.
Alex, what does this mean?
The wireless number you entered is not associated with this
organization's account. To receive any discounts, you must add your
wireless number to the organization's foundation account number.
Register by going to the Online Validation Process web page and follow
the instructions.

Is anyone else able to get this discount? I signed up and then emailed twice and haven't heard from anyone in customer service about it. Am I doing something wrong?

So I received no confirmation email. I got no response from the email I sent to info@studentrate, and I didn't get a response from anyone in this thread either. I dialed 611, and it immediately connected me with ATT small business, instead of regular ma bell.
I asked the CSR to confirm if I had been enrolled in the FAN discount through studentrate. He said yes. I asked what was the discount I would be receiving? comes to an $11/month discount for two iphones with 1400min/month, unlimited data, and txt. plan Not as much as I was hoping for. But an additional $132/yr off my bill.

so just got my bill the other day for next month. Instead of being $11 cheaper. After taxes the total discount was about $20. Went from $206 to $186.

no problem!
Also to clear up some misinformation in this thread. They only tack on a 2 yr contract if your not currently on a contract. I was already under contract, so mine does not extend. If yours is a month to month, then a 2 yr extention is added.

Hi,
I'm attempting to sign up for the student discount, however i'm not sure what SS number I should enter. The account is in my dad's name, do I need to use his SS or can I use mine? We really need this student discount with 3 of us in college. Also, would it be possible to stack multiple student discounts? I know that it's unlikly, but i'm poor enough to ask!
Thanks!
