Helloo everyone, I signed up for the 10% discount. What I did was click on the link for the At&T website and it took me to a place where had the option to pick New Or Register for discounts. I picked that optino and it took me to a page to Enroll in Online . I entered my student rate email. Was I suppose to enter student rate email or my personal email? Then in the end of the process it said we sent a confimation to your email, but the confimation was sent to firstname.lastname@studentrate.com. So how do i know if I got the discount?

It should not extend your contract.

did you follow the correct link.  if you see the studentrate llc on the upper right hand corner you are on the right site.

if so enter your email as firstname.lastname@studentrate.com.  that should take care of it.

When I tried the link from the deal page it just takes me to the general at&t wireless promotion page. There is no mention of "studentrate llc" or any exclusive offers/discounts at all.  Clicking on any link from the page just takes me to what looks like the regular at&t online store.

Maybe the Link with the deal needs to be updated?  Help!

There has been a change in the way the deal works.  We are able to give the discount that is available to student rate members.  The change is the landing page for the new att customers.  Even though it appears like the att public web site it is a discounted web site.  So go ahead and make your purchase there and send us your new mobile number last 4 of your social and billing zip code to att@studentrate.com and we will apply the discount to your account.  So the link is not wrong the way the deal works has changed.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your help!  AT&T is sure making it difficult.  I'm sure you're trustworthy, but I just don't feel safe giving out this confidential information (mainly my SSN).  With all of those pieces it would probably allow anyone access to my account.
I currently have an 8% discount I got from my local Radio Shack store.  I guess I will just keep that.  Our school (University of Cincinnati) sucks that they don't have a direct agreement with AT&T.

Does this discount work for current at&t customers who DO NOT wish to upgrade or buy any new phones? I see the instructions to MIGRATE my account by providing my info. What does that mean?

you can actually migrate your account to receive the discounts without upgrading or buying  a new phone.  just click on the link to open the studentrate att private store enter your zip code when asked and click on discounts option tab.  fill out the information -- dont forget to enter your email as firstname.lastname@studentrate.com.

hope this helps.

Doesn't seem to work, even when using the firstname.lastname@studentrate.com email address:

Did you give us your work/school email address? We could not match the email you provided with our list of qualified organizations.
AT&T Customers: You can still get authorized for a discount

You can still take advantage of your organization's qualified discount by presenting your employee badge, a copy of your paystub, or your student or union ID at any authorized AT&T Retail Store.
