Wow, so we'll receive our phones without having to give Sprint any credit card information at all? Blink

Thanks Dilz which prompted us to ask the same question to Sprint with a certain amount of spice in our language I must add. Needless to say -- Sprint will call you to obtain the card number. This will happen on Monday or Tuesday -- reason we, StudentRate, do not want your credit card information nor feel comfortable in having it.

So we are passing the information provided on the form to Sprint and they are reserving your phone and will grab the credit card information from you within a day or two after the form submission to StudentRate.

hope this helps.

I plan to move to sprint and choose a family plan Everything Data 1500 with 3 lines (only one epic). When i filled the form do i need to choose the 3 phones (where?), do iget the same treatment as with spront online, waived fee, save50 code. to port the numbers from my carrier can i do it after i get the phone or do i have to port them from the start (extra charge for porting after account is created?) also will i be shipped all the phones the same day or do i get the ones that are not pre-order first and then get the epic?

Forgot to ask
Do i need to write the same pin in part 2a and 3?
And do i have to put my info or my fathers since he is the one that is going to pay the account.

Oooomg, this makes so much more sense now. Very cool.

My only thing left to say is to reiterate the point about you should talk Sprint into shipping these out on Aug 30th so that we get them on Day 1 :D

The form will get updated over the weekend for multiple phone purchases of varying types. In the meantime, please enter the additional information in the body of your email. The information needs to be of the individual's whose name is going to be used to create the account (in this case your father).

you will receive the $50.00 account credit, $25.00 rebate check and waived activation fee and the free overnight shipping by default. (so this way no need to enter the rebate request separately). Just let us know which accessory you want the shield or the charger. You will get the phones all at the same day. If you want the other phones shipped first -- let us know via sprint@studentrate.com we will do our best to accommodate. And finally no there is no extra charge for porting the number after your account is created, in fact we recommend you port your number after your receive your phone so that the order is processed promptly with no delay.

Indeed it does automatically, as well as the waived activation and the free overnight shipping. You don't even have to submit for the rebate as yo uare doing that by default -- This is the studentrate rebate not the sprint one mind you.

Sounds like a brilliant plan to me. I second that.

Do I need to enter either the coupon code or the promo code that I would otherwise, or just the price of the contract after the discount plus the $10 premium data charge?

EDIT: Sorry, a few more questions. It may have been asked before but are we expected to pay the $350 price now and then handle the rebate later, or are we just getting the phone for $250 upfront. I already pre-ordered, but is there a time frame that we can expect a reply? Thanks again!

I am wondering if we had to pay anything up front? Or do we get charged for the day when the phone comes out (31 Aug)?

Thanks Alex. Another question has emerged after I read this. I don't have an American credit card and an American cellphone number yet. How can they call me? And can I use any credit card issued by Visa or Mastercard? Thank you.

Oh I forgot to ask that how long should the PIN number be?

Hey,

Quick question regarding the ordering process.

My sister, her boyfriend and I wanted to sign up for a family plan together and get 2 Evo phones and 1 Epic.

She is going to pay for the 2 Evo phones, while I pay for the Epic. The plan will be paid all together as usual. Is it possible to use 2 cards to pay for the phones, or will we have to pay all in one lump sum?

Can't save the form, how else can we email the information?
Or is there a way for you to post an unlocked form so we can save it and email it after completion?

I've had friends go through this before. Are you sure you have a credit card? In the U.S., a card that you get from your bank can have a VISA/MasterCard logo on it and be called a check card, and will pull money from your checking account. Do you get a monthly statement that requires you to make payments on the amount you used on your card? Or is it linked to your checking account?

If you don't have a SSN, it's doubtful that you have a credit card, since credit cards also require SSN for credit checks. If that's the case, you'll probably be in a situation where Sprint can only offer you a phone if you pay a large amount outright for a deposit (back when I was with Verizon, it was ~$600). Phoneguy would have to tell you whether they can do that and still give you the StudentRate deal.

My questions are similar to laygo's above. I want to put in a back-order for the Evo and also pre-order an Epic on a 2-line Everything Data Family 1500 plan. So,

1. If I send in the separate forms, will the lines be put together properly and leave me eligible for all the various credits and rebates ($50 SAVE50 on each phone--$100 total; $25 SR rebate on each phone--$50 total; and $100 Sprint Mail-in-rebate on each phone--$200 total) as well as the accessory for each phone?

2. Should I send both order forms (SAMSUNGEPICORDERFORM.pdf & HTCEVOBACKORDERFORM.pdf) in at one time to the same email address? If so, which email address?

Of course this had to happen during my vacation. Boo hoo! Hopefully I won't be too far down on the list.

Packman -- please send it in as two forms to epic@studentrate.com. I will send an email to the person that is handling it. And we will take care of it. cheers
